The United States remains the undisputed king of basketball, but with world basketball catching up, Team USA isn’t taking any chances at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Team USA Announces Star-Studded Lineup for 2024 Olympic Tour

Gone are the days when NBA stars alone could ensure dominance. As the recent World Cups in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan revealed, even a lineup with LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kawhi Leonard could only stumble to a disappointing fourth place finish.

The U.S. Men’s Basketball team pulled out all the stops to avoid such a slip-up in Paris. The U.S. Men’s Basketball lineup included LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Devin Booker and Anthony (Davis).

The core of the fourth-placed 2023 World Cup squad remains unchanged, with the likes of Paulo Banchero, Mikel Bridges, Jalen Brunson and Anthony Edwards returning to make another push for Olympic glory.

Olympic gold medallists such as Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, Paul George and Jayson Tatum, as well as Steph Curry, Jarrett Allen and seasoned World Cup veterans like Donovan Mitchell will also add further depth to the squad.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. This year’s roster welcomes a wave of exciting newcomers, including Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, Scott Barnes and Chet Holmgren, all of whom are eager to make their mark on the international stage.

Leading this star-studded team is head coach Steve Kerr, who just won a gold medal as an assistant coach at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Veteran coaches such as Mark Few, Tyronn Lue and Erik Spoelstra will join him in a formidable think tank to lead Team USA through the challenging Olympic field.

While the competition is expected to be fierce, Team USA’s talent and experience leave no doubt about their ambitions. Their trip to Paris will be an exciting event that will showcase the best basketball in the world and hopefully add another gold medal to the American dynasty.
