RIT senior forward Joshua Price scored his team-best seventh goal of the season to lead the Tigers to a 2-0 victory over Houghton on Wednesday evening.
Price fired a shot from the top of the box off the post in the first minute, but he finally broke through in the 28th minute with a shot over Houghton goalie Sam Carpenter’s head. First-year midfielder Adam Eastman added to the Tigers’ lead in the 39th minute with a rocket from 20 yards out, assisted by sophomore forward Jake Donahue.
RIT had three shots on target in the match, including one from Eastman in the 73rd minute from eight yards out. The Tigers’ defense was solid all night, holding Houghton to just four shots on goal.
