Coach’s Comments

“We knew coming into it that it was going to be two different styles,” coach Brennan Walsh said. “They’re going to be able to pound the ball inside on you and they’ve got a ton of size. We don’t have a lot of size, but we have good athletes and we’re quick. So, we needed to spread the court and play up and down. They came out and actually ran on us early.”

“If we’re not able to put shots in, then we can’t press. Part of that is we just had five practices; we haven’t had the shots yet.” Walsh said. “We created some open shots that just didn’t go in. So, I was happy with the way we moved the ball. We have a really good ability to penetrate, and we did that multiple times.”

“We lost the first week because of football. So, the last couple of weeks, we haven’t got a lot of shots up. Our conditioning, we’ve a long way to go. I was proud of the effort as we worked our tails off.” Walsh said.
