New 76ers head coach Nas recently spoke with on-air reporter Kai Carlin about a number of topics.
Speaking about how Tobias Harris and other role players will play a role on the team, Nas said, “I think role players are important, but I always say just because you’re in a role position right now doesn’t mean you’re going to stay in that position. I think Harris is a great example of that, and there’s a lot more he can do, and I’d like to see him both adapt to the role he’s in now and play it well, but also do some other things outside of that role or maximize the role he’s in now.”
Nas also said that he’s actually not that hard on role players because he thinks that some players may have never shot a three before, but they’re actually pretty good at it. He wants role players to open up their minds and try more threes.
